Busy vs. Lazy
Why is it that everything seems to come about at the same time? I have so many days when I have nothing to do (like today), so I sit around and watch movies. Then, there are the days when I have everything to do and many places to go and it is exhausting (ok, so doing 3 things in one day exhausts me now, but still...). Why can't it all be spread out evenly? It's not just because I am at home all the time now. I had this problem before when I had too many days off at work. Hmm. Sounds like I need to pick up some new hobbies for those lazy days. Any suggestions? On a related note, I had a lot of fun spending this last weekend and General Conference with both sides of our family!! I don't think Grant liked the car rides. He really does hate the car seat. Oh, and we had our first milestone- leaving our baby with a sitter. Kam and I went to an awesome play at Hale Center Theater in Orem and Grant enjoyed the evening with his aunt and uncle. Apparently he was really good. That's a relief!!

It's nice to hear things are going well for you three. I'm excited you got a blog. They're kind of nice to get a more in-depth info. Send me your email address and I can invite you to my blog.
ReplyDeleteThe theater was so fun! We definitely need to do it more. Staying home was a big adjustment for me, but I took up cooking and sewing (hobbies, like you said) and they have kept me busy and feeling better about myself! It's hard those first few months!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite sites are melskitchencafe.com and makeit-loveit.com. (Non-sewing craft projects are fun too.)
I made a goal to "make" one thing a day (of course we're busy with all of the feedings and diaper changings), but "making" something small helped me feel like I did something special. It can be a casserole, a handmade card, a newly reorganized desk, etc. But some days just showering is a big event! Ok, I'll stop rambling! Good luck with the adjustments! :)
